Interview
The interview process was not professional and here are the reasons why! 1: I asked the recruiter about the compensation range for this Business Intelligence Analyst role and she told me she would get back to me if she got an answer. But she actually never got back to me with a salary range and still continued to arrange for next round of interview. To my understanding, it is the interviewee should be eligible to get an understanding of the salary range 2: During the third round of interview, I was asked to answer questions from Machine Learning deployment, ETL to root cause analysis (more of data scientist related questions). Those are really not relevant to the Job Description for this role and I am not sure why a Business Intelligence Analyst needs to know all these questions. 3: This role is a mid level role and it has five rounds of interview which potentially creates bias and unnecessary stress. I failed at the third round of interview which I was asked all data scientist and data engineer related questions. However, I did enjoyed the first two rounds of interview when the interviewers only asked BI related questions and they were really helpful in answering my questions regarding the company and role.

Question 1
1: Tell me your experience with ETL 2: How to deploy ML model 3: Root Cause analysis 4: Some SQL live coding
4 interviews and a live coding sql assessment final interview with CEO First two interviewers were very knowledgeable about the role and seemed great to work with. All my questions answered, and it was a great fit at that point. I was thrilled about the role until I met with the CEO. Based on answers to my questions I was almost certain I could not see myself working under him, despite how well getting along and connecting with the first two interviewers. I asked about company culture and how with a fully remote team you inspire cross team communication and collaboration i highly disliked the lack of approach to culture and his full response. I was drilled on why I left each role, and his commnunication style was surely not going to be a fit for me. At different points of the interview different interviewers highlighted different areas of what the role would be focused on. First two said it would be more business focused, leadership focused, while still maintaining technical (BI work). Which alligned with the job description. Another communicated it would be more technical. I didn't understand this, and felt it contradicted the communication i initially got. Their idea of technical was creating dashboards/modeling/sql. This I was also fine with and experienced in, and matched the job description although as an analyst when I hear in an interview "mainly technical role" i assume python, machine learning models, etc, I was confused in the interview, and felt it didnt go well because of this miscommunication. Personally, I also very much dislike live coding sessions, this is unfair to neurodivergent people like myself that do not test well while being watched. I feel this also affected my interview process. Had I gotten an offer, i already knew I was going to say no

Interview
Initially, I heard back from a recruiter and went through several stages of the hiring process, but unfortunately, I did not advance beyond the hiring manager. During the interview with the hiring manager, we had a friendly discussion about my background and the specifics of the role. After my last interview, I was told that they would reach out to discuss the next steps. I followed up twice, and during the first inquiry, they mentioned that they were still deciding on the next rounds. However, my second follow-up email was ignored entirely.
