As others have mentioned, a TEDIOUSLY long (and horribly unorganized) interview process. An initial screening, an hour technical screening with two people not even on the team (or related to backend engineering), another hour technical screening that was directionless and without feedback, and then a 3 hour interview that culminated in meeting with the CEO... Where he essentially put me down in a way that I'd call workplace abuse if I worked there, and showed me that they have a very cult-like culture based around reverence of him and his toxic ideals. And then it took them an entire month of silence to actually give me a no response back, with zero feedback or respect for my time.
The coding practices were fairly easy around REST API implementation, but zero context or direction until pried for, and it was unclear at any point what the position actually was, even as I made it up the line. When I asked my interviewers about their issues with the company, they all mentioned a lack of structure or direction. It feels like the leadership has too much ego, not enough collaboration and community.
