The process was described to me up front in my call with HR/Talent acquisition.
First interview was a 1 hour with 2 senior stakeholders, one of whom would be a dotted line manager to this role. The interview had situational questions and asked about my previous experience handling situations. It went great and I felt that I had a good base for what this role would need to be successful.
Second was 1 hour with two additional team members in marketing. This interview I received more situational questions that were very specific to challenges I would experience in the role. This was an eye opener as a lot of the challenges they are having now I have previously encountered and could be a great asset to help put of fires.
Third interview was with the the direct manager. This was only 30 min and it went quite quick. Basic questions about how they see the role and what to expect in the first 30,60,90 days to be successful. Again felt VERY confident that this role was a perfect fit.
Fourth and final interview was 30 min with the company CEO. He was 15 min late. I messaged the team after the 7 min mark, as instructed in their meeting invite to let them know. I didn't hear back from them, so I stayed on the call to see if he would join and finally he did. His questions were a bit off putting, his tone was unenthusiastic and he was a bit condescending when he asked specific questions about my experience/ loyalty to a brand. However after speaking for 45 min (after he was 15 min late), we ended the interview on a good note and I was hopeful to receive my offer.
Instead I got a note from the talent acquisition team. that said the team enjoyed meeting with me, however they would not be proceeding my canadency. I have followed up to see if there is any specifics they can provide me but there has been no response so far.
After going through the whole process and to just not get any real feedback on WHY they are not extending me an offer is rude and disrespectful of my time.
