Made it to the CEO interview. This person basically talked at you, not to you. They did not ask much about work style but questions like "who inspires you everyday" and "why do you want to work in gaming?" When I gave my answer around passion for sharing storytelling and connecting people with amazing experiential moments (aligned with my previous work) he said "Well everyone says that" -- obviously he has an idea for who he wants and if you aren't answering appropriately, he will make you very aware you answered wrong. I felt confident this person was trying to break me on purpose to see if I would crumble under the ridiculous questions.
In a time when hundreds of thousands of people are being laid off from an entire industry due it macroeconomic factors, I think it is in quite poor taste to ask "if you're so good, why were you laid off"
They don't seem like they want to know how you work work. They want to know if you fit into their mold to join their culture club.
