      Digital Product Designer Interview

      Jan 15, 2025
      Anonymous employee
      Copenhagen, Capital Region
      Accepted offer
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at the LEGO Group (London, England) in Nov 2021

      Interview

I started off with an introduction call, which I passed successfully. I was then told the hiring manager had no time to speak to me so I was palmed off to process that meant I had to record 12 answers to questions. Having submitted the videos in December, I received an automated response in March telling me that I hadn't been successfully. I sent chaser emails in the meantime but had nothing back. Really bad experience!

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

12 question that I had to record answers to. I can't recall the questions.

      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at the LEGO Group (Copenhagen, Capital Region) in Nov 2024

      Interview

The interview process was very extensive and a little bit confusing. E-mail communication (automated) is subpar and spammy. But interviewers and recruitment team is awesome. I went through 4 rounds, including video essays, and a full day in-person assessment day.

      Question 1

Tell us about a situation where things didn't go as planned - how did you handle this?

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at the LEGO Group (Billund) in Jun 2024

      Interview

It was a three-round interview process. The first round was with HR, followed by a second round with the hiring manager and the team. Then came a design case assignment. The final round was an in-person interview, where I presented my design case and answered questions about my work and cultural fit. The entire process took about 5–6 weeks, and at every step, HR was in touch with updates and support. In the end, they chose another candidate, but they kindly scheduled a follow-up meeting to share the final decision. (I’ll admit it was a bit disheartening to hear it in person)

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How do you handle stakeholder disagreements with your ideas or feedback?

      Interview

The first was just a brief phone screening without making any appointment like email and so on. I missed the call 1-2 times but I had the initial screening successfully.
