How important do I think it is to greet and meet the customer?

They asked me if I was comfortable having to change everything in a department by not only moving around product but moving fixtures and changing wall plans when necessary.
Shouldn't take 3 different people to interview one individual. Process was tedious and took a very long time. After 3rd interview, I had to f/up 3 times asking if a decision has been made. I kept being told to wait. It was very frustrating
They wanted to know if I could use resources such as my cell phone, tablet etc without compensation.
