This company screwed my family over. Count your blessings they didn't hire you. They offered my husband a job when he was up for reenlistment. They offered him double the pay he was making in the Army so he took the job and got out. Shortly after he was hired on we recieved notice in the mail that the company may experience lay offs at the end of December due to the contract coming up. My husband was told repeatedly from September to December not to worry about the notice, that he wasn't in danger of losing his job. In fact management told him to DISREGARD the notice. He asked many times and was told the same thing by IAP management. DISREGARD. He wasn't they only person told to DISREGARD the notice. He was told to DISREGARD the notice up until the week before he was laid off, 5 days before Christmas. Three of our children have birthdays now too. He was given 10 days to find work. We have four kids. My husband is an 8-year vet and he is highly skilled and more than qualified for the job but they kept on two NON VETS over him. Let me say again he has an exemplary military record. So now instead of the doubled income my family was counting on to start saving for college for the kids, we get to live off unemployment and welfare. What a way to treat a vet. On top of all that we thought at least we'd be getting his higher wage for his final pay and that would give us a little more time to figure out how we are going to pay our bills and feed our kids. But no, his higher wage starts 90 working days after his hire date, not 90 days, which is what he was told when he was hired on. So now we have even less to work with. This company should be ashamed of itself for what it did to my family. On a military installation no less!!!
