I received an email from someone at x.ai. It was plain and simple email with just a few sentences, it did not mention a specific role or job description and did not look like a regular job related email. I thought it was some mistake and deleted it. A few days later I received another email from the same person who asked if I read his previous email and if I want to talk. Now I got interested and responded. In a couple of days we had a 15 minutes google meeting. It was the strangest encounter in my life. The person barely said a word, he just asked about my recent experience. Twice. I tried asking questions, but it looked like he did not know what to say. The whole situation was very strange and uncomfortable. A day later I received a response that after considering me for a specific role (they mentioned a role I did not apply for) they decided not to move on with my candidacy.
