Radin Consulting is looking for a full-time Civil Engineer with traffic engineering experiencein the NYC Metro Area. Candidate should be able to perform traffic engineering work and assist with conducting investigations and inspections of proposed and existing site conditions, roadways, intersections, signage, signals, pavement markings, and transportation corridors to determine conformance with applicable rules, standards, and construction or operating permits. Background in Roadway/Mass Transit/ Aviation projects is a big asset. The position is hybrid but may require full-time office presence later. Salary will range from $85,000 to $120,000 and will be commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits offered.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
· 5+ years of traffic engineering experience.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and traffic engineering software (HCS, Synchro, SimTraffic, VISSIM, AutoTurn, GuideSign, etc.)
· Proficiency with AutoCAD / Civil 3D.
· Experience in roadway and mass transit projects.
· Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work in a team environment.
· EIT required. PE and PTOE preferred.
Responsibilities
· Responsible for the production assignments in traffic and other cross-disciplines
· Assist with performing capacity analyses, reviewing permitting, and assisting with the design, concept development, and construction of roadways, Maintenance and Protection of Traffic, traffic patterns, and traffic signal design and timing.
· Generate accurate and concise reports and documentation regarding construction specifications.
· Assist in transportation planning, concept plan development, and feasibility studies of highway, bridge and other transportation facilities projects.
· Collect traffic data and analyze activities on various projects from physical work site, surveys, GIS data, maps, technical data.
· Prepare engineering design plans, specifications, quality calculations and cost estimates.
· Perform professional traffic engineering work and assist with conducting investigations and inspections of proposed and existing site conditions, roadways, intersections, signage, signals, pavement markings, and transportation corridors to determine conformance with applicable rules, standards, and construction or operating permits.
· Perform simulations and calculations.
· Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensures conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
· Understand and adhere to budget, schedule, and quality requirements
· Share information with others as requested and coordinate with others when directed by a supervisor or project leadership.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
