Description The folks at America's Test Kitchen help home chefs avoid recipe disasters. The company's Cook's Illustrated bimonthly magazine is devoted to finding the best recipes for home chefs by testing out recipes (as well as kitchen equipment) multiple times in its 2,500 square foot test kitchen, which employs more than 30 cooks and product testers. Cook's Illustrated does not accept advertising. The company also produces the PBS TV show America's Test Kitchen, which focuses on solving common recipe problems, and publishes cookbooks including The Best Recipe and Restaurant Favorites At Home. In addition, it operates several Web sites and publishes Cook's Country, a magazine devoted to homey, family-style food.
