After years of selling lumber as a sideline item to groceries, founder P.C. Barton eventually sold the grocery store and incorporated Barton Lumber & Brick. His son, E.C. Barton, grew the business by acquiring additional lumberyards. Following the introduction of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, the company experienced significant growth, including its development of the Surplus Warehouse division and the acquisition of Grossman’s Bargain Outlet. In 2020, those divisions combined to form the Home Outlet brand. Today, E.C. Barton & Company is a team of home improvement experts offering quality products and solutions at the Guaranteed Lowest Price to help customers achieve their dreams.
