Description Timing isn't everything for Citizen Holdings, but it sure pays the bills and then some. A global leader in watchmaking (known for its public clocks in major cities worldwide), it makes watches for pilots, divers, and sailors, plus a line of Eco-Drive light-powered watches for men and women. The company, which operates the Citizen Watch unit among others, also makes clocks and jewelry (accounting for about 50% of sales). The balance of its revenue comes from sales of electronic devices (light-emitting diodes, mobile-phone components), electronic products (thermometers, blood-pressure monitors), and industrial machinery (PC and automotive components). Citizen acquired rival timepiece brand Bulova in 2008.
