Description Community Services Agency (CSA) is a private, nonprofit Community Action Agency (CAA) governed by a tripartite 12-15 member, volunteer Board of Directors from various sectors of the Northern Nevada community. CSA is one of more than 1,000 CAAs throughout the United States established under the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 to fight America's War on Poverty. CSA has initiated and developed numerous human services programs, economic development initiatives partnerships and education programs designed to improve the living conditions of low-income Nevadans and to assist them in removing barriers to self-sufficiency. These programs provide services to an average of 6,000 low-income individuals/families per year. CSA is recognized as a leading nonprofit on the cutting edge of human service delivery, dedicated to alleviating poverty. Our primary goal is to be customer focused, which benefits the surrounding community.
