Description Delgado Community College, a part of The Louisiana Community and Technical College System, is the state's largest and oldest community college. Nearly 13,500 students (about 50% of enrollment figure prior to Hurricane Katrina) are enrolled in the college through its five parish area. Delgado has five campuses: City Park Avenue, West Bank, Slidell, Northshore, and Charity School of Nursing. Since Katrina, the number of students taking online courses has grown from 4% to almost 30%. The college offers more than 70 areas of study. Its career training programs focus on five of New Orleans' top growth industry areas: health care; business and technology; maritime; hospitality and entertainment; and transportation.
