The company's product lines include sprays, ointments, and dressings for basic and chronic skin wounds (burns, abrasions, bedsores, and venous ulcers); wound closure strips and fasteners; and pharmaceutical-grade skin care products such as lotions, soaps, and bath sponges for patients suffering from incontinence. Its direct sales force sells Derma Sciences' products, which are designed for use in nursing homes, hospitals, and other health care facilities, to distributors and large institutions in the US. It also sells in Canada (and to a limited extent other international markets) through distribution agreements.
