Expa was founded by Garrett Camp, co-founder of Uber and StumbleUpon, to apply his lessons learned creating successful startups. Joined by Hooman Radfar (founder of AddThis), Naveen Selvadurai (co-founder of Foursquare) and 20 talented in-house experts, Expa actively guides companies. We have done this before, founding 4 industry-defining startups that have collectively reached over 100MM registered users. And now we’re applying what we’ve learned to create the next generation of startups.
Expa works with proven founders to develop and launch new companies. After 10 years designing and building consumer services, the Expa team has identified many techniques that help create successful companies. We help companies avoid common pitfalls in early-stage ventures, and actively remove roadblocks along the way. We’re not an “incubator”, and not a VC. We are hands-on co-founders that care about the details. The Expa team spends significant time on every company we work with.
Expa usually founds new companies based on our own ideas, but we occasionally collaborate with founders of early-stage companies whose missions we believe in. In such cases we become hands-on partners to a company, to help craft the brand, build the prototype and iterate towards product-market-fit.
