I founded this company based on my experience running a medium-sized eCommerce business with a completely offshore team.
I started off like most people by saying “I heard you can get Virtual Assistants for $5/hour in the Philippines who will change your life”.
What a mistake.
100 interviews, 30 hires (and fires) later, I realized that my approach was completely wrong. I should have said I want the best people and am willing to pay for it.
Once I changed my strategy, not only were my hires more successful but my business was too.
This approach culminated in me hiring someone who I never met in person to run a multi-million dollar business for me. She not only got up to speed quickly but did most tasks with more diligence and care than I did.
