Foamcraft Snapshot
In 1952, Foamcraft emerged in Indianapolis as a distributor of Firestone latex rubber products.
Incorporated in 1955, the operation grew steadily, concentrating on the fabrication of polyurethane
foam in the latter 50’s and early 60’s. By 1970, continued growth allowed the opening of a branch
plant and sales office in Elkhart, Indiana. Shortly after, Foamex International in line with their
continued successful relationship with Foamcraft opened a complete urethane pouring facility in
Elkhart, with the basic purpose of serving Foamcraft. In 2002 this facility moved to Auburn, Indiana.
In 1979 and 1987, Foamcraft opened satellite branch facilities in Orleans, Indiana (moved to
Mitchell, Indiana in 1983), New Paris, Indiana (respectively) (consolidated into an additional
building at our Goshen facility in 2005) and in 1990, our plant in Goshen, Indiana was acquired to
better service customers in these marketing areas. In 2001 we constructed a new corporate office
and production facility in Indianapolis at Fort Benjamin Harrison. In 2009, the current Mitchell plant
began operations, and in 2016, the current Greenfield plant opened its doors.
Today, Foamcraft, Inc. is the largest urethane fabricator in the Midwest; supplying cushioning
requirements to the furniture, bedding, recreational vehicle, marine, medical, and packaging
industries.
As a leader in the fabrication of polyurethane foam products, Foamcraft’s mission is to continually
improve our products and processes to ensure that we meet or exceed all customer requirements.
The combination of innovative and efficient production techniques and conscientious, carefully
trained employees is fundamental to our ability to provide exceptional value to our customers
through delivery of high-quality, cost-effective products. This capability enables the development of
