Description Georg Fischer is organized into three distinct business segments: GF Automotive (iron and aluminum castings and related components), GF Piping Systems (plastic or metal components and systems for controlling liquids and gases), and GF AgieCharmilles (electric discharge machining and automation for mass production of metal and plastic products). Founded in 1802 by Johann Conrad Fischer, Georg Fischer has over 130 independent subsidiaries with operations around the world. Europe accounts for more than 70% of company sales. GF Automotive is the company's largest division, bringing in nearly half of Georg Fischer's sales.
