Description Business for Hancock Lumber Company is rooted in Maine. The company manages more than 40,000 acres of timberland in the Pine Tree State and produces about 63 million board ft. of eastern white pine lumber at three sawmills. Its pine products are shipped nationwide. Hancock Lumber also operates retail and discount stores throughout Maine that sell roofing, siding, decking, windows and doors, custom kitchen products, cabinetry and millwork, and overstock building materials to both do-it-yourself homeowners and residential and commercial contractors. Founded in 1848, Hancock Lumber Company is owned and operated by sixth-generation members of the Hancock family.
