Hawkins Construction provides both commercial building and heavy/highway contracting services. Clients include the University of Nebraska, Mutual of Omaha, and Hewlett-Packard. The family-owned company began with a successful contract bid in 1922 by Kenneth Hawkins and his brother Earl for what is now Lincoln, Nebraska's Memorial Stadium; the firm was incorporated in 1960 by Kenneth and his son Fred.
