Lassonde Industries manufactures and sells fruit and vegetable juices and drinks, as well as specialty food products (including fondue broths and sauces, soups, gravies, and marinades) under a variety of well-known brand names, such as Canton, Canadian Club, Fairlee, Oasis, and Fruité. The company, which does business primarily in Canada, sells its products to food retailers (supermarkets, warehouse clubs), wholesalers, and food service providers. Lassonde also offers canned corn-on-the-cob, olive oil, and wine through its Arista Wines unit. To strengthen its presence in the US, the company acquired New Jersey-based juice producer Clement Pappas & Company for $400 million in 2011.
