Challenging work, increasing responsibilities, & learning new things are what has kept Nick Smith, sales analyst, with National General since he graduated college. “National General gave me a career and has allowed me to grow so much in a short time, I couldn’t ask for more. This was my first job out of college & it gave me an environment where I could develop my abilities in database management & analytics. When I stepped into the role, I had little knowledge of SAS, SQL, Qlikview, & other tools I currently use. I was guided in building out reports for departments all over the company as I learned current & upcoming processes. Any time I was ready for more responsibility, I was awarded greater tasks so that my skill set could keep growing. I eventually transitioned to focusing support on the sales team & improving their growth & production. At four years in, I am happy with my deep involvement in the company & the trust that leadership has placed in me. I have been able to see so many of the moving parts of the company and it is amazing how cohesive everything is."...Show more
