Doug & Shirley Parker along with Wayne Knudtsen founded Parker-Knudtsen Toyota which was located at 2900 Government Way, Coeur d’Alene, in November 1983. In October 1991 Doug & Shirley completed their new Toyota facility and moved to the corner of Hwy. 95 and Kathleen in Coeur d' Alene. In October 2009 we opened our newly designed facility which includes our larger state-of-the art Service Center.
Parker Toyota began with a staff of 30 employees and now has over 150 on our team. The dealership has one of the best-trained staffs in the nation, and award-winning salespeople provide the proof. The dealership is proud of its extensive in-house training program, where the focus is on knowing the product inside and out, not the hard-sell.
Each year Toyota Motor Sales recognizes its stellar dealerships with the prestigious President’s Award. It’s a very high honor a dealership can receive from Toyota, and is only awarded to those dealerships who have demonstrated a commitment to maintaining Toyota’s high standards for customer satisfaction. Parker Toyota is among only 4 Toyota dealerships nationally that have won this award every year since its inception in 1986.
