After selling off his previous equipment rental company in 2014, our owner Rob Troxel wasn’t ready to retire. He and his daughter, Adriene Horn, put their heads together to develop a business plan for a different type of rental company – one with smaller equipment. They learned that there was a need in the market for contractors to rent job site-ready work trucks. Like up-fitted pickups and flatbeds that arrive with toolboxes, ladder racks, etc. already installed. Allowing the trucks to be immediately put to work upon delivery.
With three team members and a handful of trucks, PTR launched in the summer of 2014. Since then, the company has been blessed with tremendous growth. PTR currently has a nationwide footprint, over 300 employees, and works with many of the top construction and renewables contractors in the country.
Premier’s continual upgrading of existing products and investment in its team members reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering innovative, powerful, and robust solutions for numerous industries. “Our success is due in part to the advanced capabilities and continuous improvement of our products,” states Vice President Adriene Horn. “It comes down to the team members who are here every day putting in all the hours to make sure our clients have the highest quality units.”
