The result of a merger between Danish Crown's UK subsidiary and Flagship Foods (in 2004), Tulip is one of the UK's largest meat groups. As a fully integrated meat producer, Tulip oversees its own pig production, slaughterhouses, and meat processing facilities. It produces bacon, deli meats, cooked meats, and fried and marinated poultry. The company's brand names include Danepak, Plumrose, Celebrity, namesake Tulip, and Parkam. The meat processor, which markets SPAM and Stagg products in the UK for US-based Hormel, is expanding.
