For 2014, the NRC expects to hire approximately 300 new staff, plus 60 student summer interns. These positions are mainly in engineering fields such as mechanical, electrical, chemical, nuclear, and civil and geotechnical. The NRC also expects to fill positions in the areas of hydrology, seismology, health physics and information technology.
