Its building services include commissioning, environmental LEED consulting, and design of such systems as fire protection, HVAC, process piping, security, and telecommunications. Vanderweil's Power Group unit focuses on engineering design for utility plants, thermal distribution facilities, substations, and power transmission lines. The company targets commercial, industrial, institutional, and government clients. It was founded in 1950 by Austrian emigrant Raimund G. Vanderweil and continues to be led by his family.
