Pros

I have worked for 1800Contacts for over 18 years and have seen amazing changes and progress made to make this the best place to work! The leaders are so open to suggestions and very family oriented. I have lots of opportunities to leave and work somewhere else but have decided to retire right here!

Cons

I think with every growing company there seems to be things that are uncomfortable to adjust to but they have all been for the good of our customers and we have amazing employees here that only want to sell a great product and provide this service.

Pros

With Silicon Slopes growing like crazy, a 25-year old company that sells contacts and eye glasses may not seem like a high-tech business. But if you are looking for a some challenging engineering problems to solve in growing a successful business to the next level, if you want to make a difference in people's lives, and if you want to be surrounded by great co-workers, 1-800 Contacts is the place to be. Some things to call out: - Equity for every employee (full and part time). We all have a vested interest in the company succeeding - Management that cares about employees achieving their best, and proves it by mentoring, training, and promoting from within while still bringing in outside viewpoints and experience - A healthy focus on work-life balance

Cons

- Still trying to find the right way to organize development teams for maximum efficiency. Causes some disruption, but it is all in search of a better way.
