1Password is a toxic, hyper-political mess with a leadership team that is both aggressively incompetent and deeply unprofessional. The engineering leadership, mostly male, thrives on hostility, brash arrogance, and an utter lack of basic civility. Despite recent acquisitions, leadership has failed to set a clear goal of what the future looks like for the product. Daily it is utter chaos. Like this isn't enough, people get fired if they speak up. There are endless stories of minorities being harassed and bullied while management either turns a blind eye or actively enables the behavior. This place is a haven for power-hungry, first-time managers who have no idea what they’re doing. If you’re desperate for a paycheck and willing to tolerate blatant disrespect, public humiliation, and a relentless power struggle, then by all means, apply. Otherwise, run far, far away.
