Nice people, casual dress, central location, social activities, free soda and great games!

Lots of overtime and long wait for an elevator.

Pros

Yes, you do play video games for a living. That is the one perk is the gaming.

Cons

You will constantly be in extreme stress. There's the overtime which at a point becomes inhumane (13 1/2 hr days if you include breaks, 6 days a week, months without end). There's the fact that you could get a write up at any time (a co-worker got a write up because someone liked their facebook post of a game trailer). There are also weekly reviews that nitpick every tester, and the annual reviews to get a .50 raise -- well you better make sure you had ZERO mistakes for the whole year. Also there's a daily bug count and if you don't meet and surpass that be prepared for scrutinization. Another issue is their views on dating in the workplace, in that they will assume through facebook that coworkers are dating and then pull them aside, making public their 'failure', and making it known they will never grow with the company because they are 'dating' - even if they're just close friends.

Low pay, low regards

Pros

Sometimes there are free food trucks and sometimes the coffee machine works.

Cons

Management is out of touch with the real world. Pay puts contract workers at the poverty line in San Francisco with no benefits. Contract hiring is criminally executed; terminating contracts right before benefits set in, then re-hiring 2 months later when state and federal employment status resets. No new, exciting IPs in the pipeline. Just relying on micro-transactions in NBA 2K to keep the lights on. Extremely cliquey environment. Mass firings are common and many employees are constantly looking for a better place to be, with people leaving on an almost weekly basis.
