There are many great people here. Being around golf equipment is enjoyable.
Cons
The management culture, except for a small minority, is weak, inexperienced, and easily intimidated by more assertive individuals. This leads to the formation of cliques, which contribute to treating those outside the group poorly to ensure the ingroup's success. Compensation is based on tenure rather than education, experience, or ability. Additionally, the HR department is defensive and lacks understanding regarding safety issues.
New management does not know how to empower employees to get the best out of them. They provide little structure and managment training and seem to be blind on what great employees can bring to the culture. Feedback gets lost from the store level to the ownership.
Golf equipment discounts, tee time discounts, no sales pressure due to no commission.
Cons
Turning too corporate, they claim to care about family and work life balance, which some is true but you work Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, to name a few holidays. Company also doesn’t get you to 40 working hours per week and takes out 30 minute lunch per day out of your check.
