Pros

Allowed free drinks sometimes. Allowed to keep some of the "expired" food. You meet some of the best and worst customers. (Mostly good customers)

Cons

Management is ALWAYS on top of you telling you to boost sales. They watch the cameras to make sure you're doing your job right even for employees who have been working there for 5+ years. NO TRUST at all. I was paid minimum wage for the 2 years i was there and never got a raise when others did. I worked the cooler on the weekends and it was hard work. They expected it to be perfect, and if it wasn't by the next morning, the manager would be mad. The last straw came when they started making us take unpaid 30 minute breaks. My schedule for example would be from 5pm-9:30pm and then 10pm to 2am. It was a mess! Hardly anyone took a break because the store was so busy! My break was placed during the time when the shipping came on Friday nights! We were basically working during our breaks and our manager was playing dumb and following the schedule even though he would watch the cameras and see we wouldn't take a break. What a joke! Another thing was my pay. We were paid by direct deposit so we never got proof of what we were getting paid. EVER. We had to check our bank accounts every Thursday to make sure we even got paid. What was fun to see every week was how much my pay changed. I always worked the same hours yet every week there was a different amount deposited into my account. On my last 3rd to last week i was paid 10 cents less than the previous. On my 2nd to last week i was paid 2 cents less than the previous. On my last week i was paid a full $4 LESS than the previous week! I had been working the same hours for over 2 months and hadn't been late or anything!

Pros

-Not overly political for the size of the company. -Compensation and benefits were decent. -Team members willing to help and share ideas; if asked. -Office environment is friendly and courteous. -Strong capital position for investment and growth.

Cons

-Difficult time staying strategically focused. -Juggling too many major; and unaligned projects that result in poor planning and rework. -New management infusion is helping however; several legacy 7-Eleven key management positions lack compentent leadership. -Weighted focus on logistics and distribution. -In desperate need of an ERP system.

Pros

The Store Manager training program is very informative. The company pays for all your expenses when attending one of their training campuses (hotel, gas, mileage, food) as well as your regular salary! 7-Eleven employees and management are very personable.

Cons

The training program can be extreme. The trainer spends a day teaching you how to clean a toilet and mop a floor like you've never done it before. They're are lots of different levels of management and someone from each level is likely to tell you a different way to do the same thing.
