Pros

The only positive is that you get a company car so you’re not responsible for gas or maintenance. The pay is decent and the benefits get worse every year as they continue to take them away. After 2 years of no raises you’ll get a 1% increase.

Cons

Everything about it. This is an awful company to work for. It is a shining example of everything a corporation could do wrong. If you like being micromanaged, working long hours including early mornings, late nights, and weekends. Being constantly overwhelmed with emails, calls, and texts from leadership and franchisees all hours of the day and night for issues you have zero control over. And you want to sell your soul to an awful company just to be able to get a paycheck and survive then I guess this is the job for you. They do not care about you or your well being. It’s proven by the fact that company moral is so bad that they started a culture committee and keep holding workplace culture calls and repeated follow up calls yet none of the feedback has gone anywhere and there have been absolutely no improvements even though the same issues keep being raised to leadership and HR. The company puts leaders in position with no real leadership training or support. They will sell absolutely anyone a store as long as you can write a big enough check. And that leads to the issues the we have which are disgustingly dirty stores, disengaged franchisees who don’t care if their stores have rats or if they sell expired food to customers because all they want is profit. If you value autonomy, a positive work environment, career growth, and actually want to be respected…. Try working anywhere else but 7Eleven. Area Leaders take the blame for everything. No matter what it is, it falls on you because there is zero accountability for other departments. They don’t do their job, oh well, you have to do it because it needs to get done and your job is on the line. There’s no real support. Senior leadership is very cliquey and if you’re not one of them then no one has your back. HRs role is protecting senior leadership and they will not do anything if you raise concerns. Instead you’ll be reprimanded for asking for help. There are very few good leaders in this company and very few good franchisees. The ones that are good, are great. The rest, awful. I could write a book about how awful of a company this is but I’ll leave it here. Do yourself a favor and try literally anything and everything else before applying to or accepting a job here.
