Pros

Benefit package is good and the guaranteed hours are great but to much. Corporate support is top notch. 401k match is amazing.

Cons

48 hour work weeks. Pay is sub par for the job responsibilities. They do not do store wide yearly pay raises (this year they skipped assistant managers and managers)

Pros

You can move up the ladder quickly, and if you’re smart the competition from your peers isn’t the greatest. My salary went up quickly, but I was also a bit lucky.

Cons

You work long hours with little to no appreciation from those above you, and if your location is doing well those at the bottom benefit little to none.

Pros

Company is in a commodity market and constantly growing. Although it is a growing business, 84 still has a "small-town" feel and every employee is treated like family.

Cons

There are no real cons to working at 84 Lumber. It can be hard work at times, but very rewarding.
