Worst place to work at if you're desperate.
Pros
- A good stepping stone job. - Some decent and helpful coworkers. - Schedule can be flexible and won't get in the way for your college/life. - Experience a crowded and busy supermarket. - Stable business in populated Asian areas.
Cons
- Lack of communication with management - No advancement no matter how long you work with the place. - Become a robot if you're really desperate for a part-time job. - Some Customers can be a pain and hard to work with. - No raises to your wage and salary - Management can be really greedy and care only about profits. Some older markets lack new technology or equipment to employees. - Depending on your supervisor or general manager, they don't really care about you at all and you can be left in the dark and work only 'ONE' day per week if you request more hours to your work schedule; while new employees who were hired not too long ago get your hours or more hours which cannot be fair you work at the supermarket for more than 3 years!! - You get treat like dirt - Even though you might make careless mistakes while you work, the Chinese custom doesn't need you if that happens. - It's always the same and very robotic repetitive if you work as a Cashier and General Helper (Bagger). Worst positions to be at on a long busy day! - Management don't really care at all....when you care!
