A "Management First" Company

The employees are fantastic, benefits are great, and the pay is good.

Cons

A+E is a "management first" company and doesn't value creative people or their contributions to the organization. It bleeds creatives because management is antiquated, redundant, and punitive. By the time anything gets accomplished, the industry has already done it and moved on, leaving A+E in a constant state of catch up. Managers manage managers who manage managers and they all have a rudimentary understanding of the work they manage. Work must be reported in a variety of ways yet they still don't understand what's going on.

I recently started working here, and I absolutely love it! My team is extremely supportive and helpful. The work/life balance is incredible for the media industry. Pay and benefits are great too. I am happy to work at this renowned network.

Cons

Upward mobility in the company is apparently difficult, but it's definitely possible.

Really bad benefit for employer, they don’t have and HR department. Strong Gossip environment and leadership are not align with the changes in the industry
