Pros

CEO Paul Buccieri is the best, and so is the Head of HR, Karen Gray, which means that leadership is pretty good overall. It is a great collaborative environment and I have been able to touch a lot of different areas/disciplines and learn a lot. I work with a lot of really smart, creative, and innovative people.

Cons

Not a ton of room for growth/headcount, but there are some initiatives to change that (hopefully) soon.

Pros

This is a big and influential media and entertainment company that produces some really good documentary and lifestyle programming. A creative and interesting group of people

Cons

This company is very backwards in its operations and set up. A very outdated technology system and still relying on photo copies for expense reports. I was surprised that no one used video conferencing. They are so many yes people with enormous egos. Senior management is stuck in the past and the ratings show it. The good programming gets lost in the shuffle as they over use it to try and spike ratings on all the channels. There is no brand identity with the exception of History but they are messing that up too.
