      Pros

      I love the work of helping people - it's what kept me going - really the only thing that kept me going.

      Cons

      Unequivocally this is the worst job I could ever imagine having. During the recruitment process, I was led to believe I would be making a difference in peoples' lives. I sure wish I would have found Glassdoor.com before I started working for APFM. I would have saved myself from the stress and embarassment of representing such a terrible company. The pay is horrendous. The expectations are highly unrealistic.

      Pros

      Helping families find solutions to housing needs [senior apartments, independent living, assisted living, memory care (Alzheimer's), skilled nursing, short term rehab]. The abiliby to work from home and set your own schedule. Management staff is great!

      Cons

      The company moved to a new compensation structure. Advisors are grossly underpaid. A Place for Mom is looking for mid-level employees with entry level salaries.

      Helping familes with tough choices regarding senior care options.

      Cons

      Poor compensation; draw against commission & no base salary. For the many EA's in lower income markets, it's very difficult to get out of your draw. The way the sales are set-up are based on "tier" sales; meaning if you don;t place someone in an Assisted Living option, you make little money and get little credit for your sales.
