Pros

Generous time off; wonderful staff other than management.

Cons

The ED gossips about the employees to other employees. HR doesn't follow through on complaints. Salaries are horrendous. Clients are taken into shelter even when there is no DV. Mgmt. has to keep up quotas for funding purposes.

Pros

The vacation and sick time off, the staff who have direct client interaction are great, and providing support and safety to women in DV situations is rewarding work.

Cons

Not much support from management. Working alone during shifts when there are several families in the shelter who need assistance. You don’t get compensated for the overtime spent. You are placed on call for one week.

Pros

Great work hours and fun fundraising events.

Cons

Horrible place to work. Management is non existent and offers no real supervision but expects the world from you. No raises are ever given. Management clearly plays favorites. Very unorganized.
