Pros

One of this company’s greatest strengths is its brand recognition. Just about everybody knows who we are. AAMCO looks real good on a resume. I know several people who owe where they are now career wise because of the foundation they built at AAMCO. Work here for any given period of time and you’ll also pick up new skills.

Cons

Franchises may be owned by different people so your mileage may vary depending on where you work.

Nothing terribly special. I do all the stuff you would normally expect from a mechanic job – change clutches, working on transmissions, changing oil and so on and so forth. All standard stuff. It’s a strong team environment and everyone is friendly. Pull your weight and I doubt you’ll ever have a negative interaction with management.

Cons

Pros and cons can change location to location. The location I work at is pretty great. Can’t speak for any of the other locations however.
