Pros

not unionized... thats about it

Cons

-no payscale or scale for improvement or advancement -as hiring gets harder and harder they hire people with little to no experience for more than they pay the experienced people that have to train them. and theres no benefit for taking on the responsibility of training. -if you bring up pay you'll get told their either working on it and never hear about it again, or get told to suck it up( they'll usually quit after that ) -right now the most effective way to get paid better at AAR is the leave work elsewhere for 6 months and come back and negotiate in at a better wage this place is really backwards

Pros

Some good people make the job tolerable

Cons

Some people are being forced to come into the office amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Those who live with immunosuppressed or elderly people are severely endangering their lives every time management believes it is imperative to have people in the office. Staff are not being trusted to bring work home, which has now created a hostile work environment. If not for the financial necessity, I would already have left the company. Once this all passes, I’ll begin applying elsewhere. Beware of companies who do not value the lives of their employees and families.

It is concerning (although helpful) to learn you have this impression. There have been extensive on-going discussions and subsequent decisions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, with the #1 priority being the well-being of our employees. Obviously, this has not transcended to you and possibly others, so will continue to enhance employee communications and ensure everyone is aware of AAR's willingness to provide special accommodations during this challenging situation.
