Great teams, opportunities, and projects. Interns are recognized as part of the company who join its great environment and culture. AARP is a company that is constantly looking to innovate with fresh and out of the box ideas from young talent to support the senior community.

Cons

Not to many opportunities to network and meet other interns in this current virtual environment

Pros

Mission driven, collaborative environment, especially the CSN group. Input consistently encouraged and utilized. Regular opportunities to provide and receive feedback.

Cons

Processes are sometimes slow and it’s not easy to know who is empowered to make decisions. Some high level managers micromanage so mid level manage feel they can’t move forward without checking with higher ups - even on simple day to day decisions.
