SCSEP Training Program

Pros

This is a Department of Labor training program for Seniors age 55 & older, who are low income, and are unemployed. It is very helpful by giving people training opportunities to re-enter the workforce and getting unsubsidized employment. By doing this, people acquire new skills building confidence which allows a person to go out & get that new job.

Cons

Only part time and hours fluctuate, going sometimes as low as 10 hours per week. Because it is a training program, there are no benefits and unemployment insurance is unavailable.

Pros

Excellent benefits, brand strength, smart and mission-driven colleagues across the enterprise

Cons

Lack of vision means whoever is loudest gets heard, bureaucracy, over emphasis on process versus strategy, siloes, overall loss of trust in leadership
