Pros

It is a bridge to gainful employment . Provides a small stipend to assist in job search. Get a participant up and out for a period of time.

Cons

A participant is usually moved to another host agency after 6 months, to get to know new people in the new host agency. 6 months has been the period given as probationary period to get settle into a position and learn the responsibilities of that position.
