Pros

The people at AARP truly care about the mission. They are passionate about their members and potential members. They want the staff to be happy and work to promote a positive environment. The development teams are empowered and excellent. I highly recommend AARP as a pace to work

Cons

There are a few folks who are in way over their heads. Most of those folks are BAs and only spend 8-10 minutes per year on initiatives that will impact the entire AARP population, claiming that they just didn't have time, and once the budgets are approved, the features and tasks remain.

Pros

Great location. Easy to get to work.

Cons

How much time do you have? I reported directly to someone who had the social and management skills of a house plant. Repeatedly sent her work to review, never received any feedback. Was dismissed with no notice. In general, the most dysfunctional IT environment I've ever seen. It's all over the place. No vision, no strategy.
