Pros

good networking and ability to transfer to different positions until you find one that is best for you. Average amount of work for positions held.

Cons

On constant alert for managers and supervisors looking over your shoulder, and there is often high levels of micro management.

Pros

The people I've encountered and worked with at AARP are all motivated and focused on improving the lives of older Americans and pursuing AARP's central mission. Everyone here is very open and willing to lend a helping hand when asked.

Cons

Communication between executive leadership and employees is poor, especially during AARP's current reorganization and restructuring. Most teams seem understaffed and overworked, although morale remains high among most employees.
