      Pros

      There are a lot of great people at ABEC to work with and to learn from. ABEC provides many opportunities to gain valuable experience in the biotech industry. It is a small/medium sized company so most people are asked to wear a few different hats which gives exposure to different aspects of the business. ABEC tries to provide a fully customized product to the customer which can be a rewarding challenge to solve.

      Cons

      Depending on the position, travel can add up pretty quickly. Unfortunately, more recently job turnover appears to be high. Some of the pros mentioned have their downsides. Being asked to where many hats can put you in a spot with no real direction. And providing a fully customized product as a small/medium sized company doesn't allow ABEC to provide the lowest cost bid for a project. Being in this position, ABEC also can't afford to pay its employees as competitively either.

      There was a great group of us that worked really well together.

      Cons

      Work/ life balance Company culture was great in the beginning but last 5 years were awful I personally witnessed cultural harassment & was written up when I attempted to intervene.
