Terrible place to work

Pros

Union benefits are good except the vacation. Nothing else I can think of.

Cons

They expect you to do the work of 3-4 people by yourself because they are so understaffed. Equipment is very outdated. Tractors looked on the brink of falling apart. They say safety is important but then tell you to haul butt as fast as you possibly can to get the work done. PDA system was very tedious. You had to punch in every single item by hand coming off and on the trailers. I guess no one there has heard of a bar code scanner. No vacation for 2 years. Everyone was so busy and overwhelmed that there was a very big lack of communication and training.

Thank you for the feedback. We take pride in offering competitive pay and benefits, understanding that the hours can be long and hard, as they typically are in the freight industry as a whole. But we also know they can be very rewarding. If you would like to speak to anyone further about your experience, please feel free to call Human Resources at 479-785-8717 or email us at abfhr@freight.abf.com.
