Pros

Pay is okay, work with good people (not management), equipment is not too bad compared to other companies

Cons

The on call system is honestly not good. When I interviewed I asked to not be exclusively put on overnights. They said this wouldn't be a problem. 2 weeks in and they only call me for the midnight to 8am shift. Don't get me wrong, the work is pretty easy but any regard to my availability was thrown out the window with the "casual" title. The union has made the environment here pretty catty at times, some of the long time people really don't like new hires. You have guys taking really long breaks and just sitting on their phones while on forklifts. Since they're union they can't be punished which is pretty typical I guess.

Pros

The paycheck is good, even though it is only once a month. If you enjoy working 11-12 hour days and not spending time with your family I supposed you could count that as a pro.

Cons

Long hours, hardly any work/life balance; poor upper management; high stress
